Tunnel Springs park in SLC, Utah is by far one of my all time favorite locations. Being able to sit in open spaces and fields of green grass, tall pampas grass and wander around in sunsets is pure bliss to me! Fortunately, Lexi, felt the same way.
Lexi drove down from Cache Valley with her mom to meet me in Salt Lake City for her senior session! Talk about committed!! We had planned her session for a little bit and was so excited to actually meet and take pictures! Lexi had two outfits that she wanted to wear– this cute black peplum tank dress with gold jewelry (here’s a link to a similar initial necklace she wore!) and some sandals. Her other outfit was a tank top with jeans and converse! I absolutely loved her style as it felt so effortless yet put together!
As we talked about future plans, we walked along the grassy hill and felt like we were just hanging out. The biggest thing that I tell my seniors during our senior session is to relax, have fun as we listen to music and let me know if any pose or movement feels unnatural!
For that reason, I always ALWAYS guide and direct my seniors in a way that feels natural to them by incorporating a lot of movement within each pose so it feels more candid and natural.
I oftentimes do this thing where I pull out an old tan nylon sock and put it over my lens. It always confuses people when I pull it out, but I always explain to my clients that I do this so I can capture some photos that give a more vintage vibe! This always makes the photos look dreamy and warm like the pictures below!
Lexi also brought her Executive Counsel cardigan because she is a part of her high school’s Executive Counsel as the Historian where she also takes pictures for her high school!
Lexi has some incredible plans ahead of her, and I am so proud of her! Graduating is no easy feat, but she is ready to conquer the world! Go class of 2022!
